Small Foot, The Movie

2 Lucky winners from our Dadspotting Contest had a chance to see the film at an advanced screening (and so did we) AND we all loved it. What a great little addition to the world of animation movies that exist as options these days. Kids have so many options to entertain them, but if you are looking for a movie experience where you don’t have to leave the movie theatre because of volume or if you looking for that combo of adultish humour and good fun for the kids, this is your movie. I never thought LeBron could pull of something like this, but he and his co-stars have done a great job and I think families will enjoy this film.

There are some flaws and the movie does struggle to find a way to connect with all levels of audiences at times, but you will over look that once you get immersed with the quality of the animation. Tweet us your thoughts @dadspottingcrew

#PodcastsWeLike

We know it’s tough to find Podcasts to get into. Rather than point you to Podcasts about parenthood, we thought we’d instead give you podcasts to get your mind off of parenthood for a moment. Maybe this will get you into something else, even if it is for 30/60 mins an eps, we think you will find something you like out of these.

Thanks to our DadspottingCrew for sending a few suggestions on podcasts on the radar.

The simple questions we asked were :

Name of Podcast?

Who will like it ?

Fave Eps ?

Name of Podcast : Clockwise

Who Will Like It ? :

This podcast is for anyone who loves to talk about tech but doesn't have the time to fuss with all the tech blogs that mix click bait with editorial.  It's perfect for a commute or a quick gym session.  I also enjoy that they have various contribuotrs to broaden their POV on subjects.   It's not the best technically produced podcast, but it really is informative.

Check Out weekly eps because the show is best heard in it's most recent iterations

I'd say subscribe and follow.

Girl Expo Canada

Congratulations to the team @GirlExpoCanada for a wonderful event in Toronto recently. Wow, talk about making an impact on hundreds of young girls in a variety of ways. The vendors at the event ranged from sports clubs to therapists to education clubs. It was also a great way for parents to engage with other parents about hot topic issues and matters that are resonating amongst young girls in this country. It was nice to see Dads out to support their girls as well, as the expo had a little something for everyone. Shout out to Kat from Z-103.5 for hosting a wonderful panel as well. See you next year Girl Expo Canada
